In a crime that was somewhat Ferguson-esque, a young man leaped over a convenience store counter, desperate for cigar rolling papers. Thrice had suspect pleaded with clerk to sell him the items, which she refused as he lacked identification for the purchase of tobacco products. After announcing that he would come back and “rob the store” for the rolling papers, he did indeed return, and took them by force (i.e., by jumping the counter), but left $1.25 for the clerk as he departed the store with his girlfriend.
